I don't remember the year now, but it was in the early 80's. I was at a Delaware Valley SCTE meeting in Willow Grove PA. At lunch we all sat around various round tables to eat. I introduced myself to the guy next to me and he introduced himself, Ken Simons. We discussed various things which I don't remember, but I do remember that all that was in the back of my mind was that I was sitting next to and conversing with Ken Simons! He taught me so much and he never knew it! He was a kind gentleman who had no idea how many people he impacted with his work. Certainly many had thanked him and mentioned it to him over the years, but he was at that moment thoroughly unimpressed with himself, and more interested in what I had to say. I'll never forget it.
